On 30th Jan 2007, HH Dalai lama delivered a public talk in Mumbai, the event sponsored and organised by Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana tradition (FPMT), co-sponsored by Sholay Charitable society primarily put together by Ms.Tara Melwani from Singapore and Ms. Sasha Sippy was a astounding success.
The venue located at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai was packed to the brim in the warm afternoon and in spite ot the temperature soaring people were comming in large groups to listen to His holiness Dalai Lama.
The talk on "Peace through Inner Peace" by His Holiness was lucid and simple with lot of simple practical suggestions which could make all of us attain a more peaceful life in the present day world. The one and half hours talk was followed by a question & answer session where the public asked questions pertaining to the talk.
Lama Zopa Rimpoche and Cherok lama Rimpoche were also there and a long list of many celebrities and personalities also came to catch a glimpse of his Holiness and get to understand the philosophy of "Peace through Inner Peace".
The event well organised by the event organiser "Leading Brands of the world" was tastefully decorated and the whole venue was vibrant with Spiritual energy.
The Master of Ceremony for this event was S.BS.Surendran, the renowned Fengshui Master and Vaastu consultant from Bangalore. Earlier he had supported the organisers in the year 2004 when His holiness delivered his talk in Bangalore and he had taken up the role of the MC even then.
Kyabjay Lam Zopa Rimpoche and Cherok lam Rimpoche were also at the event and Kyabjay Lam Zopa Rimpoche delivered the special thanks to HH Dalai Lama and the organisers, sponsors, important guests and the MC were offered Kathags by HH and blessed.
